Project goal
Design mount for 3 Sony ILCE-QX1 cameras and control it with Arduino
- Mounts for stock cameras casing
- Alignment controls
- Rotate 1º and shoot all 3 cameras
- Tripod mount
Solution
- Precisely designed mounts for camera's hooks. Rotation fixed.
- Screw+nut linear moving mechanism for moving front cameras back and forth, upper camera is moving on its posts.
- Arduino with stepper driver. I wrote firmware which allows 1º movements by program, so full circle id 360º. There are delay for stabilising cameras after movement. Shoot signal is sent from arduino to all 3 cameras via Sony original cables.
- Construction rests on stepper motor shaft. Motor cage have quick release mount for Manfrotto tripod.
